Bartel & Company has been in the Auction and Real Estate business both selling and developing since 1988. Bartel & Company has a reputation of helping clients navigate large land transactions, exchanges, residential house sales, estates, development projects, lease negotiations, commercial projects that often involve difficulty, complexity, and nuance - as well as auctions of all types (vintage automobiles, machinery, industrial and construction equipment, office machines, etc). Since our inception in 1988, we have focused on long-standing customer relationships maintained by being easy to work with, achieving top results, and guiding clients along their path with discretion and care.

Brad B. Hooley is the owner and founder of Bartel & Company Realtors/Auctioneers, a full service Real Estate and Auction firm founded in 1988. Craig B. Blough is a Broker and Auctioneer at Bartel and Company, and the owner and founder of Bartel & Company of Michigan.

Both Craig and Brad are also farmers and owners of farmland in Elkhart County, IN and broker farm land leases for over 1000 acres of tillable land each year. With over 400 years of cumulative experience on call, Bartel & Company has 20 independent contractor Auctioneers ready to help your auction be a success whether it’s a live, online, or phone bid auction that fits your situation best.

Brad B. Hooley is the founder and operator of the Hooley Classic Car Auctions Events. Brad is also the Founder and former owner of the Goshen Consignment Auctions. A Spring and Fall Event Auction, attracting over 4000 attendees. This Auction was sold as an on-going business to The Peddlers Auction Group in 2015.

Brad was the Developer and Manager of The Summit and Farmington Subdivisions in Middlebury, Indiana as well as the auctioneer that sold The Farm development. Both The Summit and Farmington projects are upscale neighborhoods with home prices between $400,000 and $1,200,000. The developments hosted the Elkhart County Builders Association Parade of Homes Show in 2002, 2006, 2008 and 2013. The Summit and Farmington are both sold out with approximately 275 homes built out.

Brad & Laura Hooley

Brad & Laura Hooley, pictured above, founded Bartel & Company in 1988 and have been helping clients buy, sell, lease, auction, and develop land of all shapes and sizes for 35+ years. Brad is an Auctioneer and REALTOR and has a vast education from his life experiences as a Broker, Auctioneer, and farmer. He has sold classic cars, large farms, major manufacturing facilities, and a lot in between.
Craig Blough

Craig Blough, pictured with his wife Jessica and son Theodore, joined Bartel & Company in 2020. Craig is a REALTOR & Auctioneer. Like Brad, he has a background as a dairy farmer. Craig has helped farmers modernize and automate their operations since 2012 in a peripheral business as a robotics specialist & installation manager. He has designed, sold, and managed the construction and after-sale success of robotic dairy expansions and new construction all over Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio. He and his team have worked to directly with the largest robotic dairies in North America and the World to optimize their facilities and management.

The first Bartel & Company Auction was a commercial building in 1988. Since then, we have sold all types of Real Estate and Property in both an Auction and private treaty Real Estate Listing setting.
