Terms and Condition of Consignment:

Seller hereby gives the right to auction or otherwise market and sells the vehicle under the terms of this Bartel & Company Collector Car Auction. Seller acknowledges and accepts that the Auctioneers cannot accurately predict sale time and or sale prices and any prediction by Auctioneers with respect to the foregoing shall be considered estimates only and shall not be binding. Seller warrants that he has the right to sell the vehicle and has clear title or consent of the lien holder, if any, to sell. Seller has provided Auctioneers with all lien holder information, including name and amount, in advance of sale. Seller agrees to provide Buyer with good, clear, and merchantable title and agrees to correct any title defects and/or pay the costs associated with providing the Buyer with good, clear and merchantable title as required by the State where the Buyer seeks to register the vehicle. Payment for the vehicle is to be same day at the auction and made directly by the Buyer to the Seller, with each party paying their respective commissions. Sellers and Buyers agree that Auctioneers shall have no liability for loss, theft or damage of any type to the vehicle, its contents or components at any time. Seller further agrees to save and hold BARTEL & CO., its agents and its employees harmless from any claims for personal injury and property loss or damage arising out of this transaction/auction. Seller shall maintain his or her own insurance. Bartel & Co. provides no such insurance and is not an insurer of any vehicle or other article offered for sale. Seller represents that all of Seller's statements and claims with respect to vehicle are true and correct to the best of the Seller's knowledge and belief and Seller has not withheld from disclosure any known or unknown material problems, flaws or discrepancies with regard to the vehicle. If the vehicle is to be sold with reserve, the Auctioneer may bid on the Seller's behalf in an amount not to exceed the reserve price. If Seller offers to lower the reserve price and sell the vehicle at the lowered price, the original normal reserve commission rate shall still apply. Bartel & Co. reserves the right to lower commission charges without notice in order to facilitate meeting Seller's net proceeds of a sale at the full commission rate. ONCE YOU HAVE SUBMITTED THIS ENTRY FORM AND THE VEHICLE IS SOLD, PRIOR TO THE AUCTION OR ON THE AUCTION PREMISES, (EITHER THRU THE AUCTION OR “OUTSIDE”) COMMISSION CHARGES ARE DUE AND PAYABLE TO BARTEL & COMPANY AS IF THE CAR WERE SOLD AT THE AUCTION BLOCK.

Ample parking at both fairgrounds for Motorhomes, Trucks and Trailers. Easy in, Easy out.

DIRECTIONS to the Goshen sale site:

Goshen is located in North Central Indiana (45 minutes South East of Notre Dame)

From Chicago: Take 80-90 Indiana Toll Road East to (Exit 72) US 31/ US 20 (South Bend bypass) go East to US 33 Exit at Elkhart and go South to Goshen. Stay on US 33 to the Goshen High School on the east side of town.* SEE BELOW

From Toledo or Detroit: Take 80-90 Indiana Toll Road West to State Road 15 at Bristol. Exit 101, Go South on State 15 to Goshen to US 33, Go East on US 33 to the Goshen High School.* SEE BELOW

From Indianapolis: Take US 31 north to US 6 then go east to State Road 15 turn north to Goshen. At US 33 turn East and then go to the Goshen High School* SEE BELOW

From Fort Wayne: Take US 33 approximately 60 miles to the Goshen High School* SEE BELOW

*There is a lighted 4-H Fairgrounds sign and a stoplight on US 33 in front of Goshen High School. Turn East at the stop light. This will be Monroe St. and/or County Road 34. The Elkhart Co. 4-H Fairgrounds is about 1 mile east of this stoplight. Consigners & Campers will use Gate 2, Spectators will use Gate 1. Watch for signs.

Valparaiso is located in North West Indiana (apx. 40 miles SE of Chicago)

From Chicago: Take 80/94 to 49 S, Chesterton Exit (26A), 12 miles to fairgrounds (1 mile S. of of US 30 on Hwy 49)

From Toledo or Detroit: Take 80-90 Indiana Toll Road East to 49 S, Chesterton Exit (26A), 12 miles to fairgrounds (1 mile S. of of US 30 on Hwy 49)

From Indianapolis: Take US 65 north to US 30 then go east to State Road 49 turn south to the fairgrounds

From Fort Wayne: Take US 30 to State Road 49 turn south to the fairgrounds

Vehicle check-in: Auction Personnel will be at the sale site all day Friday from 9:30 a.m to 6:30 p.m. for check-in. If you need to make other arrangements to get the car to us earlier, call and we will work out a time to accommodate you. We can check in vehicles on sale day, but because of “sale day congestion” we highly recommend Friday. Please check in at the auction office upon arrival and one of our personnel will facilitate your paperwork and show you where to park your classic.

PHOTOS: A good photo can be emailed to bradhooley@aol.com or mailed with your entry fee and entry form.

Titles: Please have your merchantable titles with you at check in and on sale day.

Posting additional car info: Please feel free to post information about your car, such as history/awards/or other nostalgia. The more you info you can provide about your vehicle the better. We have blank placards available for you to fill out if needed.

Be available at the auction block: Sellers - stand at the block and be “at the handy“ when your car sells in the event we have any questions regarding your car or need to speak with you about the sale.

Drivers: We have professional drivers on staff that will drive the cars through the auction ring at sale time OR You may drive your own car through the auction. If driving the car yourself please let the drivers know and be ready to roll.

Settlement time: We desire that both Buyer and Seller are at the office at settlement time. We will try and settle up the sale of your car as soon as we can after it sells, and before the end of the day. BUT, please understand, we will do the best we can and be patient as we try to accommodate all Buyers and Sellers. We can also mail your proceeds to you. Let someone in the closing office know your intentions. You will need to sign off on your title before you leave.

DEADLINES: Cars can be entered as late as the day of the auction provided that sale numbers are not sold out. Cars that are entered early and advertised always sell better! These auctions are promoted nationwide. Buyers will travel, but they like to know what is committed to be at the auction. Call for specific advertising and brochure printing deadlines.

BIDDER REGISTRATION & REQUIREMENTS: You must be a registered bidder and be assigned a bidder’s number to bid at the auctions. We do not charge a fee to obtain a bidder number. Payment for purchases must be made day of sale by cash, cashier’s check, or personal and business checks (which require bank letter of guarantee), call or visit www.bartelandcompany.com for complete details.
